Antique 19th Century 23 ct Gold Micromosaic Mourning Pendant

An antique 19th century mourning pendant in 23 ct gold, of oval form with a micromosaic panel to the front depicting two birds perched on flowering branches. The central mosaic is framed by a decorative outer border of red, white, and blue tesserae, all contained within a rich yellow gold mount with a substantial articulated bale.
