Antique Victorian 15ct Yellow Gold Trombone Link Guard Chain Necklace

A late 19th century long guard or ‘muff’ chain hand crafted in buttery 15ct yellow gold. The long fetter ‘trombone’ links are alternated with single round links.

Length: 27.5", providing a very versatile necklace
Hallmark: Stamped ‘15ct’ and tested throughout as gold using a touchstone
Gross weight: 16.1 grams
Condition: Very good, surface scratches and wear commensurate with age. There have been no alterations or additions to the chain, and links are in good order. The clasp opens and closes securely
