Step back in time with this stunning piece of Victorian history. Crafted in the earlier Victorian period, circa 1870, this remarkable pendant features a sophisticated fusion of 15 carat yellow and rose gold, showcasing the masterful craftsmanship characteristic of the mid-to-late 19th century.
The centre of the pendant is set with a deep, alluring cabochon garnet, framed by intricate, hand-engraved foliate detailing that dances across the surface of the gold. This piece is not only a beautiful adornment but also a functional locket, offering a hidden compartment on the back to hold a precious memento, keepsake, or photograph.
The pendant measures approximately 31.2mm in height and 19.2mm in width. The garnet measures approximately 10.6mm in height and 8.2mm in width.
