Georg Jensen Triple Layer Necklace And Bracelet Suite

A striking Georg Jensen triple layer necklace & bracelet suite in sterling silver, designed by Henry Pilstrup, one of the most important early designers associated with the Georg Jensen silversmithy.

Pilstrup joined Jensen as his first apprentice in 1904 and later became foreman, producing numerous jewellery designs for the house. Both pieces feature a wonderfully sculptural triple-row articulated link design, creating a substantial yet fluid appearance when worn. The necklace is numbered 40B, while the coordinating bracelet bears design number 43.

Both with 'STERLING' 'DENMARK' as well as the oval Jensen stamp. A beautifully made and increasingly collectible Georg Jensen set, with the strong modernist Scandinavian aesthetic for which the house is renowned. Both beautifully constructed from three parallel rows of articulated silver links.

Each row is formed from individually connected, softly rounded links, arranged closely together to create a substantial, almost woven appearance while remaining wonderfully supple and fluid when worn. The repetition and movement of the links give the set its distinctive sculptural quality.

The bracelet measures 7.5 inches and weighs 38.4 g, the necklace measures 16.5 inches and weighs 66.2 g. Although listed together the pieces can be sold individually.
