19th Century Italian Gold and Enamel Cherub Plaque Drop Earrings with Pearls

A fine pair of antique decorative 18ct yellow gold drop earrings featuring painted enamel plaques depicting cherubs with flowers, accented with natural pearls. Made in Italy, Circa 1860's.

The oval plaques are hand-painted on mother-of-pearl and depict two cherubs; one is playfully tossing flowers and the other is holding flower bouquet in his hand.

• Tested positive for 18ct gold.
