Vintage Peridot, Amethyst and Diamond Set Necklace, 18ct Yellow Gold.

The Suffragettes, women campaigning in the early 20th century for the vote & equal rights, chose 3 colours for their movement, green white & violet.

Green is symbolic for hope, white is purity & purple/violet loyalty dignity.

The colours were also used for their slogan “Give (green) Women (white) Votes (violet)”.

The stones are all about 3mm diameter, the gold curb link chain is 40cm long and about 2.5mm wide.
Hallmarks for 750 (18 carat) gold, maker WLG, London 1998.
