Modernist French Diamond and Platinum Dress Ring, Circa 1930s – 1940s
Modernist French Diamond and Platinum Dress Ring, Circa 1930s – 1940s
A contemporary Modernist French platinum and diamond ring with a stylish bridge form to a curved architectural motif, pave-set with 10 single-cut diamonds with a total weight of approximately 0.30 carats. The platinum has a brushed finish, giving a subtle gleam to the metal rather than a polished sheen.
Made in the late 1930s to early 1940s, the arched and curved forms of this ring give chic and elegant details to what is otherwise a restrained and simple design. The tapering shank bears the dog’s head stamp for platinum and French manufacture. There is a partially struck makers mark.
UK finger size N.5, US size 7, weight: 12.37 grams.
