Antique Victorian Opal and Diamond Crescent Brooch

A late 19th century opal crescent moon brooch, set with graduating oval cabochon-cut opals with old mine-cut diamonds set between the outer edge of the opals, Mounted in gold, with a plain inner curve and fleur-de-lys claws and crown claw outer curve, with a two row gallery bezel. Secured with a pin and hook catch fitting. Circa 1880.
