A stunning Victorian 5.35ct no treatment certified Ceylon (Sri Lankan) cushion cut sapphire and diamond pendant made in the Belle Epoque style. This superb necklet has a central pale cornflower blue sapphire and is surrounded by an estimated 1ct of diamonds in a laurel wreath design. The large sapphire drop hangs from a knife edge bar with a diamond set bow to complete the design.

This piece comes with a AnchorCert certificate to confirm that the sapphire is from Ceylon and has not been treated or modified.

DIAMOND:

• Estimated 1ct diamonds with eight Old Cut diamonds and other rose cut stones

MATERIALS – 18ct gold/sapphire/diamonds

WEIGHT – 11.28 g

HALLMARK – None, but tested as 18ct gold with a touchstone as such.

CONDITION – The central sapphire is stunning and to find a stone of this age is quite remarkable. The diamonds remain original to the piece and securely set. There have been some minor repairs undertaken to the back of the pendant, but these don’t detract from the overall beauty of the piece.
