A fantastic Victorian 15ct yellow gold ruby, diamond, and pearl Etruscan style bracelet. Dating from the period 1860-1870 when the gold granulation process was developed by jewellers, inspired by Castellani and other notable goldsmiths The central horseshoe is adorned with pinkish red rubies and Rose cut diamonds and is angled so that the wearer collects good luck. The detailing to the sides of the brushed gold bracelet are most interesting and make this piece that little more special. Delicately surmounted gold spheres, twisted rope and intricate gold work can all be seen – these are complimented further with small split pearls.
The bracelet is hinged, and opens at the side where a push clasp is disguised within the band along with a safety chain for security. Perfect for the equestrian enthusiast or antique jewellery lover, this spectacular bracelet would make an impressive statement piece!
