Antique Marquise Cabochon Amethyst and Diamond Cluster Navette Ring

A late Victorian amethyst and diamond cluster dress ring. The central marquise-shaped cabochon-cut natural Russian amethyst of a richly saturated purple colour is surrounded by a border of old transitional-cut diamonds. Mounted in platinum to 18ct yellow gold. Circa 1900.
