This antique late 19th century ultra thin pocket watch is crafted by Berthie of Geneva, Switzerland. It’s a splendid example of mid to late 19th-century horology, combining exceptional design and functional precision and features a hand painted enamel portrait portraying a woman and child. This scene is encased within a decorative frame featuring intricate engraving and vibrant blue enamel accents. The watch face is clean and features Roman numeral hour markers along with a pair of elegantly styled hands. The crown, designed in a decorative bow shape, adds both functionality and visual appeal, allowing the watch to be worn as a brooch pendant.

Inside the watch, the engraving reads “Berthie A Geneve Echappement à Cylindre Qualité Trois en Rubis,” indicating the use of a cylinder escapement mechanism with three jewels. The movement is visible through an open cover.
