The Arts and Crafts period shared a lot of similar ideals to the Art Nouveau period. With sinuous, asymmetric lines and soft colour palettes as found in Art Nouveau jewellery.

However, unlike the Art Nouveau period, the Arts and Crafts period favoured cheaper materials such as enamel and gold over platinum and diamonds.
