Emma’s career in jewellery started in the year 2000 while working for a small, independent jewellers in Surrey. After a few years her yearning to learn more about antique jewellery led her to work with Johnson Walker and other respected companies in Burlington Arcade, London’s fine jewellery gallery established in 1818.
Having studied gemmology at London’s Gemmological Institute she went to advanced Gemmology in Geneva, with a special interest in coloured gem stones.
Emma has worked as a consultant and advisor on Fine jewellery and watches to a number of auction houses.
Her experience advising clients with purchases and valuations along with her familiarity with many aspects of the jewellery trade led her to create a website dedicated to fine and antique jewellery.
Emma is a registered member of the of Registered Valuers IRV. The Institute of Registered Valuers (IRV) is the UK’s leading authority of jewellery, watch and silverware appraisers who maintain exacting standards. Carolyn has worked within the auction industry for over 16 years. In 2018, Carolyn decided to further her career within the jewellery sector and obtained her Diamond diploma the – DGA in 2020 and now working towards her gemmology degree.
The majority of the items we have listed are one of a kind pieces of jewellery with a great story behind them. In our vast selection of antique jewellery we have pieces dating back to 1720 including jewellery from the Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco and Art and Crafts periods.
