Antique Gold Trombone Link Albert Watch Chain

A traditional, solid 9ct rose gold early 20th century Albert chain with alternating trombone and round uniform links with a sliding, removable T-bar.

Every link is stamped ‘9CT’ the two swivel clips and T-bar are also marked.

The T-bar also has stamped the makers mark ‘P&M’ for Phillips & Mayell of Tenby Street, Birmingham., England.

Traditionally worn as a watch chain suspending a pocket watch, Albert chains can also be worn as necklaces and used to suspend charms and pendants.

Circa 1900-1920.

  • Condition: Very good, surface scratches and wear commensurate with age. There have been no alterations or additions to the chain, the spring loaded clips remain in good working order
