Antique Victorian silver-gilt amethyst seal.

This antique seal, featuring a faceted amethyst handle and silver-gilt mount, is a fine example of late 19th to early 20th-century craftsmanship. It is housed in a red leather retailer’s box from Spink & Son Ltd, a well-known London-based retailer, but the maker of the seal itself is unknown.The handle of the seal is crafted from a single piece of faceted amethyst, cut to a tapering shape and the base is intricately decorated with floral motifs and twisted rope designs.
