Antique Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring.

A fine large late 19th Century sapphire and diamond cluster ring, the two row double halo is set with a round blue sapphire to the centre and a surround of 5 carats of old cut diamonds, mounted in a silver setting, on a yellow gold band.

Silver settings were commonly used in victorian jewellery as platinum was not common for the period.
