Vintage Gem Set Gold Schnauzer Dog Brooch

A fine Italian yellow gold brooch of a Schnauzer dog with a diamond nose and collar, sweet sapphire cabochon eyes and a ruby tongue. The pin and collar are in white gold. The head of the dog has a surprising movement mechanism, with which it can move three dimensionally. The shaggy fur is naturalistically executed in fine gold work. Circa 1960's.
