Victorian Old Cut Diamond, Turquoise and Gold Locket Pendant

A striking, late 19th century, antique locket pendant. Handcrafted solid 18ct yellow gold thick twisted frame surrounds a dome of graduated natural turquoise beads set in silver which nestle the central 0.40ct old mine-cut diamond. Locket compartment to reverse. Circa 1880.

Diamond: approx. 0.40 carats, H colour and VS/SI clarity
Turquoise: 1.4mm - 3mm
Metal: Tests as 18ct gold
Pendant dimensions: 37mm x 27mm
Locket window: 12mm, with original glass
Gross weight: 13.1 grams
