A late 19th century diamond and emerald pendant, with a butterfly in the centre, set with a rub over set, cushion-cut emerald in the thorax and old-cut diamonds, pavé set, in the wings and abdomen and a single diamond, rub over set, in the head, encased in an upturned crescent, set with old-cut diamonds. Mounted in 18ct yellow gold. Circa 1880
