Georgian Antique Burma Ruby and Old Cut Diamond Double Heart Cluster Ring

An early 19th century double heart sweetheart ring, composed of a certified vivid red Burmese ruby and closed-back old-cut diamond centres surrounded by rose-cut diamonds, crowned by a bow top. Mounted in 18ct yellow gold. Circa 1820/1830.

Double hearts set side by side meant “bound together” and were traditionally set with gemstones and used for betrothal in the 1800’s.
  • Ruby: approx. 0.70 carats, measuring 6.3 x 4.9mm, natural with Burmese origin, accompanied with GCS London certificate
  • Principal Diamond: approx. 0.80 carats, measuring 6.3 x 5mm (over mounting), F/G colour with VS clarity
  • Remaining Diamonds: approx. 0.90 carat total
  • Metal: Tests as 18ct gold
  • Ring size: I 3/4 (UK) / 4.75 (US), can be resized
  • Head dimensions: 13mm x 14mm
