A marvellous pair of Art Deco day and night earrings. Signed by Umberto Fontana, Italy – Rome

The impressive diamond tops are finely hand crafted and set with 3.20 carats of old European-cut and Swiss-cut diamonds, which suspend two large detachable natural emerald drops which hang from diamond-set leaf motifs. Mounted in 18ct white gold. Circa 1930.

• Emeralds (2): approx. 40.00 carat total, measuring 16.9 x 13.6 mm – 16.1 x 13.7 mm, beautiful green with some colour zoning
• Diamonds: approx. 3.20 carat total, G/H colour with VVS/SI clarity
