Antique Georgian 18ct Gold Mourning Ring with Diamond and Enamel

An elegant 18-carat yellow gold mourning ring showcasing a diamond urn set with an oval cushion-cut diamond. Encircling the urn is an ouroboros—a snake devouring its own tail—adorned with crosshatched black enamel. The shank features additional black enamel bordered in white on both sides. Inscribed on the inside of the band is the message: ‘In memory of the honorable Coll. L William Plenkitt.’ Minor repairs to the enamel are noted. This piece dates from circa 1810-15 and was crafted in England.
