An elegant white Akoya pearl strand necklace with a vintage ridged barrel clasp set in 9 carat yellow gold.

The necklace is set with Akoya pearls from Japan. The strand is knotted between the pearls to protect them from scratching each other. It is then secured with a yellow gold clasp with ridged detailing. These Akoya cultured pearls displayed a white to cream body colour and a silverish-pink overtone, which shows an iridescence bright silk-like lustre under lights. The tiny growth marks of the pearls shows its natural oceanic nacre. Due to its design and size, the necklace makes an elegant and classic statement piece. It can be worn on various occasions.
