A Victorian gold locket, with engraved bird and plants, in the centre, the bird is embossed, in green gold, with a twisted wire and embossed leaf surround, on an engraved trefoil and texture background. Circa 1875.
Approximately 63 x 37mm

With a sepia picture of a Victorian man, with side whiskers. The back has partial details of the English photographer, with "Her Majesty's Royal Letter Patent...." packed with a modern compliment slip and no glass / talc so probably added later.

The other side has a talc glass. The insides are marked with Roman numerals VIII. The centre is riveted to the surround.
