Antique Georgian Pink Topaz Cannetille Cross Pendant Brooch in Original Case, Circa 1830

An early 19th century, Regency ornate yellow gold cross pendant-come-brooch, set with foiled back pink topaz. The central claw-set oval pink topaz is set with a fine bead border and further graduated foiled pink topaz to the branches of the cross. Beautiful cannetille flower heads are placed at the rays and terminals, with trefoil bead cluster decoration. The cross is attached to a twisted wire bale with a circular Swiss cut foiled pink topaz to the centre, crimp set to a bead edge collet.

Dome back setting and a glazed locket verso, with brooch pin and ‘C’ catch to also be worn as brooch.

Presented in a later, hand tooled Victorian fitted ‘horseshoe’ case

Circa 1830.
