Antique Georgian Carved Coral and Diamond Drop Earrings

A rare pair of stunning early 19th century, carved pink coral torpedo-shaped drop earrings. Set in 15ct yellow gold with detachable diamond set heads.

The gold fittings are intricately decorated in the typical fine granulation and cannetille work. The coral bodies are finely decorated with cross hatching and floral patterns with each earring retaining most of its original detailing.

The heads are stamped ‘15ct’ and possibly later Victorian addition but are in fitting with the period and look beautiful when worn.

• Condition: Very good, wear commensurate with age and use. The coral is natural in origin and is in good condition with no signs of cracking or chipping. The heads are for pierced ears with post fittings.
