A late Victorian era French brooch pendant that depicts a griffin with an old European cut diamond perched in its mouth and a natural pearl hanging from its tail. This mythlogical creature is a part eagle and part lion and known in legends to be a powerful and majestic creature. The old European cut diamond has an estimated weight of 0.24ct colour and clarity H/J, vs/si.
