Rare and Imposing Antique Victorian Amethyst and Diamond Angel Bishop Ring

Rare and Imposing Antique Victorian Amethyst and Diamond Angel Bishop Ring

A rare and imposing antique Victorian amethyst and diamond angel Bishop ring, circa 1890. This amazing example comes from a private collection and is in perfect condition except for a sign of an old resizing as it was originally very big as it would have been originally worn over gloves.

Rare to get in our jewellery inventory, antique Bishop rings are very scarce in general.

Imposing in size, on the whole, exceptional in workmanship, it is a true piece of artwork made of solid 18ct gold.
Note this is a huge ring suitable for either sex.

The large rectangular crown takes form from a centre antique custom cut rectangular natural Amethyst very unusual cut, the beautiful light purplish colour of 16.00ct.

Set throughout with a selection of rose cut diamonds making for approx 1.50ct.

Amazing crafting with sculptured open winged Angels on the sides and fine carving details in the hidden sides, hand pierce work, all the structure makes this ring quite an outstanding piece to get hold of.

Outstanding fine condition commensurate to age and use – note sign of a very old re-sizing present; we can take care of it by making it as if it has never been there if not in need of a new resizing after the sale.
