Antique Victorian 18ct Gold Cross Pendant

The arms of this 18ct red gold Victorian cross pendant from 1840 are shaped after a stylized diamond pointing with their culet to the centre. From their crown-side, a Baroque style shell radiates in rays into lush curls as the end ornament. Resembling a volume of a cross with its back the same as its front and suspending from an 18ct yellow gold chain with a closure set with a strass stone, this jewel is a display of divine diligence for detail.
