Antique Art Deco Platinum 7.30ct Carved Opal Ruby and Diamond Brooch Circa 1920

Antique Art Deco Platinum 7.30ct Carved Opal, Ruby and Diamond Brooch Circa 1920

A fantastic Art Deco carved opal, carved ruby, baguette and brilliant-cut diamond brooch dating from around 1920, the brooch is set in platinum throughout. The carved opal of est. 7.30ct is delicately carved with a floral scene accompanied by a bird, possibly a hummingbird. The central opal is accentuated with est. 0.73ct carved rubies, again in a floral pattern to possibly portray berries or fruit. In classic Deco style, the baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds (est. 0.59ct) are set in the Odeon style which adds further to the beauty of this splendid brooch.

The brooch also comes in its original antique, fitted leather box.
